<span 1.6em;"="">Incorporated in the reconsituted Graduate School of Sciences, Department of Mathematics launched education in 1993. As mathematics is essential to university education, the Department provides a wide variety of services for different departments at nearly all the Faculties apart from doing research. The fields of study include applied mathematics, fractal geometry, fractal analysis, analysis and topology. Taking the developing information tecnologies into account, the Department pays close attention to the computer sciences, particularly to the software and programming studies. 17 professors, 5 associate professors, 4 assistant professors, 1 instructor and 9 assistants are currently employed in the Department. The program aims not only to cover all the theoretical and practical aspects of the potential fields of study but to provide students with the opportunity to specialise in any area of mathematics in order to be equipped with research skills as well.
