Associate Degree and Bachelor's Level

A faculty member is assigned to each student registered at Eskişehir Technical University to provide counseling on all matters within the framework of the "Eskişehir Technical University Academic Advising Directive." The academic advisor provides consultancy services to students on all subjects they need, primarily academic issues, from the beginning of their studentship until the end of the student period; they particularly assist in course selection and registration renewal processes.

Master's Level

By taking the opinions of the student in the master's program with a thesis and the faculty member proposed to undertake the consultancy, and with the recommendation of the Department Head and the decision of the Institute Administrative Board, a faculty member who will act as an advisor in course selection and the execution of the master's thesis is appointed for each student by the end of the first semester.

In non-thesis MS programs, a faculty member or a lecturer with a PhD degree is assigned until the end of the first semester the latest by the related graduate school’s administrative board upon the proposal of the graduate school’s department head to guide the students with the course selection and the term project.

Doctorate Degree

For the planning of the courses the student will take and the course registration procedures, an advisor is appointed from among the faculty members working in the department where the student is registered, by the decision of the Institute Administrative Board upon the recommendation of the relevant Department Head, taking into account the opinions of the student and the faculty member, by the end of the first semester.
