The cost of living is more affordable in Turkey compared to countries such as United States, Canada and United Kingdom. With this respect, by being a student city, Eskisehir presents more economical living options than the other universities in larger cities of Turkey. Eskisehir Technical University does not have accommodation opportunities for international students on or off the campus. However, the International Affairs Office provides assistance for finding or arranging accommodation. Accommodation costs between 100 – 200 Euros (utilities included) in Eskisehir.

Tram is the main inner-city transportation in Eskisehir. Buses and minibuses are also very frequently used. As a student city, it is possible to reach from one point to another in short time period in Eskisehir. One student ticket costs 0.25 Euros. Eskisehir is close to the main cities such as Istanbul and Ankara and it takes respectively 1.5 hours and 2.5 hours to get to these cities by high-speed train at a cost of 4 – 6 Euros.
