Eskisehir Technical University offers a “Buddy System” for the incoming exchange students. In this system, each foreign student is assigned a mentor (Buddy) who provides pieces of information, support and guidance about the city, country, travel arrangements, administrative arrangements, to foreign students through the whole mobility period. It is important to note that a mentor is only arranged in case of a demand made by the exchange student before mobility period. The “Buddy System” is a successful way to help the integration of students into the culture and social life by offering constant support throughout the mobility period. Since ESTU is a recently established university, ESN Eskisehir Team is being formed with members who are trustworthy, active, open-minded and internationally-minded volunteers to support the International Affairs Office with their leadership skills and by making the experience of the participants as efficient as possible in academic, cultural, and social terms which include the organizing of study groups, sport activities, trips and special events for all the participants.
