Week - 1 Definition of geography, general concepts, the place we live, the earth sphere, parallel-meridian, clock concepts
Week - 2 EN: Map Information, map types, scale and types
Week - 3 What are coordinates, coordinate systems, types, datum, geoid and ellipoid concepts
Week - 4 Map projections, map projections used in Turkey
Week - 5 Basic concepts of surveying and surveying knowledge, basic surveying instruments and cartographic calculations
Week - 6 EN: Basic concepts of geographic information systems, history, components, GIS software
Week - 7 Software installation, use of basic menus, opening, editing, saving data
Week - 8 EN: Data types and data models; vector data; data types, data layout, digitization, georeferencing
Week - 9 Organization of attribute data, vector-based analysis functions
Week - 10 EN: Queries based on attribute data, location based queries
Week - 11 Data types and data models; raster data, raster-based analysis functions
Week - 12 Data acquisition techniques, metadata, examination of data quality, data transformations
Week - 13 EN: Presentation of data and analysis as output and thematic mapping
