Week - 1 The concept of disasters and types of disasters are introduced, establishing the basic terminology.
Week - 2 The mechanism of earthquake formation and Turkey’s earthquake zones are explained.
Week - 3 Structural and non-structural risks are evaluated and home safety is explained.
Week - 4 Pre-earthquake preparations and the contents of an emergency kit are taught.
Week - 5 The Drop–Cover–Hold On rule is covered.
Week - 6 The safety action plan to follow after an earthquake is explained.
Week - 7 Disaster communication, assembly areas, and the family disaster plan are prepared.
Week - 8 Injuries, basic first aid principles, and risks during a disaster are examined.
Week - 9 Types of fires, fire extinguishers, and intervention steps are taught.
Week - 10 Protection methods for floods, landslides, and other natural disasters are explained.
Week - 11 Disaster logistics, evacuation processes, and public transportation safety are covered.
Week - 12 Psychological first aid after a disaster and community support mechanisms are evaluated.
Week - 13 What a tsunami is, how it forms, and the precautions to take in coastal areas are discussed.
Week - 14 Overall disaster awareness is completed, reinforcing a holistic safety approach.
