Profile of the Programme

The construction sector, which includes indispensable fields of activity for the formation and development of civilizations, is the design of all structures that meet the requirements of modern life of the 21st century, in a wide range ranging from houses that meet our needs for shelter, highways, railways, ports, airports that meet our transportation needs, from art structures to bridges, tunnels, retaining walls , its construction, maintenance and repair.

Building Inspection Program; It is an associate degree program that trains technical personnel to meet the need for qualified intermediate manpower within the developing technology, aims to prevent unplanned, uncontrolled and poor quality construction and waste of resources, to ensure life and property safety, and to contribute positively to the economy by producing projects and structures in contemporary norms and standards. In our country and in the world, there is a need for well-trained, knowledgeable and skilled practitioners, technical staff and technicians in the field of Building Inspection in the future as well as today.

The program was established within Anadolu University with the letter of YÖK Executive Board dated 22.09.2011 and YÖK approval letter dated 28.09.2011 and numbered 6500-041710. Starting from 2012-2013, it started to accept students. Our Building Inspection Program is affiliated with Eskişehir Technical University, which was established on May 18, 2018 together with Porsuk Vocational School. In our program, 1 Professor, 1 Associate Professors, 1 Assit Prof  have.The annual student quota is 60 and the language of instruction is Turkish.

Students graduating from this program, the construction control industry; private engineering, architectural offices, construction companies, building inspection companies and the public sector are trained as necessary intermediate staff (professional staff) with sufficient knowledge and business skills on the subjects they need.

Graduates who complete this program can transfer to the following undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS): Civil Engineering, Conservation and Repair of Cultural Heritage, Restoration and Conservation, Building Teaching and Building Design Teaching. Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and have received sufficient points from the YKS-Higher Education Institutions Exam. High school graduates are placed in the Building Inspection Program with a TYT score.

Candidates must have a high school or equivalent school diploma and have received sufficient points from the YKS-Higher Education Institutions Exam. High school graduates are placed in the Building Inspection Program with TYT score.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration. The students who have taken courses in another institution in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. The executive boards of relevant programme will decide on the courses to be transferred covering students' entire academic program once and for all with the condition that the request for transfer be made within the first week of the academic year, the requests cannot be repeated.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meet a minimum of 120 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no FF, DZ or YZ grades.
The program has been determined for the "First Level (First Cycle)" defined in the "European Qualifications Upper Framework in Higher Education (QF-EHEA)" of the Bologna Process and the "5th Level" qualifications defined in the "Turkish Higher Education Qualifications Framework (TYYÇ)". ECTS credit conditions and level qualifications; it also provides the "Level 5" qualifications defined in the "European Lifelong Learning Qualifications Framework (EQF-LLL)".

Access to Further Studies

May apply to bachelor's programmes in related fields of study provided that the student obtains sufficient score in the Vertical Transfer Examination administired by the Student Selection Centre or may apply to bachelor's degree completion programmes in related fields of study in Distance Education System.

Graduates from this program may find recruitment opportunities in private organizations in the provisions and cities offering service in the sector such as Building Control Companies, Construction Companies, Project Offices or various state organisations.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

A variety of assessment methods such as mid-term(s), assignment(s), exercise(s), project(s), practice(s), and a final exam are implemented in the programme. Assessment methods may include classical test(s), multiple-choice test(s), homework(s), performance evaluation(s), and product evaluation(s). In order to graduate from the programme, cumulative GPA must be minimum 2.00. A course grade is constituted by evaluating the above stated elements and given by using letters. Letter grades and their associated coefficients are as follows;
