Profile of the Programme

The supply of energy to the end user with continuous, high quality, safe, minimum costs and resource diversification are important. The main objective is to achieve a competitive energy system that utilizes domestic and renewable energy resources at the highest possible level, supports the reduction of the energy density of the economy, minimizes waste and the negative environmental impacts of energy production and use, and strengthens the country's strategic position in international energy trade.

In an environment where energy is of such importance, the need for training programs that deal with both energy-related technological issues and energy economy-related issues and the need for trained workforce in the sector is increasing day by day.

With the Energy Resources and Management Master's program, employability of the workforce that can be employed in the field of energy can be increased, and it will be possible to contribute to lifelong education activities in order to gain the skills demanded by the relevant labor market.

Energy Resources and Management Master's Program is a multi-disciplinary field that includes science, engineering and social fields, and it is a program in which technical, technological, economic and environmental dimensions are handled together. Students who graduate from this branch of science receive the title of Energy Resources and Management Scientist.

Graduates of Science, Engineering and Social Sciences Faculties can apply to the Energy Resources and Management Master's program.

 Students who will study in the Energy Resources and Management Master's program will be able to use the advanced laboratory infrastructure and library facilities at Eskisehir Technical University.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration. The students who have taken courses in another institution in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. The executive boards of relevant programme will decide on the courses to be transferred covering students' entire academic program once and for all with the condition that the request for transfer be made within the first week of the academic year, the requests cannot be repeated.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

A student is required to successfully complete a minimum of 10 courses, not less than 75 ECTS credits and complete a term project, have a minimum GPA of 2.50/4.00 and no letter grades lower than CC and YT.
1- Reaches, evaluates and applies information by doing scientific research in the field.2- Has extensive knowledge of energy resources and management.3- Conducts a study that requires expertise in the field.4- Investigate, improve social connections and their conducting norms with a critical view and act to change them when necessary.5- Understands, interprets and uses different discipline information.6- Take responsibility and develop new strategic solutions as a team member in order to solve unexpected complex problems faced within the applications in the field.7- Transfer current developments and studies within the field to both professional and non-professional groups systematically using written, oral and visual techniques by supporting with quantitative and qualitative data.8- Communicate with peers by using a foreign language at least at a level of European Language Portfolio B2 General Level.9- Use advanced informatics and communication technology skills with software knowledge required by the field.10- Audit the data gathering, interpretation, implementation and announcement stages by taking into consideration the cultural, scientific, and ethic values and teach these values.11- Develop strategy, policy and implementation plans on the issues related to the field and assess the findings within the frame of quality processes.12- Evaluate the important people,events and phenomenons that have contributed to the development of the field in terms of their effects on the applications of the field.

Access to Further Studies

May apply to doctorate programmes in any field or proficiency in fine arts programmes.
May apply to doctoral programs or proficiency in arts program by providing sufficient conditions in every field.

Program graduates; In the department such as research and develoment, product development, business development, sustainability management, market analysis of companies that can specialize in administrative or technical fields and operate in these fields, in public institutions and organizations related to energy and environmental policies and businesses that provide independent consulting will be able to find many different career opportunities.
