Profile of the Programme

The Cyber Security Analyst and Operator Program aims to train qualified human resources needed in the public and private sectors by blending theoretical knowledge and practical skills to ensure the security of digital systems. The program enables students to specialize in areas such as network security, information security management, malware analysis, intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewalls, forensics and cyber incident response processes.

In the program; It is a priority to train individuals who can analyze current threats, make risk assessments, develop preventive solutions by identifying security vulnerabilities and implement these solutions. During the education period, in addition to theoretical courses, students' practical competencies are developed through laboratory applications, case studies and scenario-based studies.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration. The students who have taken courses in another institution in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. The executive boards of relevant programme will decide on the courses to be transferred covering students' entire academic program once and for all with the condition that the request for transfer be made within the first week of the academic year, the requests cannot be repeated.

Access to Further Studies

May apply to bachelor's programmes in related fields of study provided that the student obtains sufficient score in the Vertical Transfer Examination administired by the Student Selection Centre or may apply to bachelor's degree completion programmes in related fields of study in Distance Education System.
