Faculty of Architecture and Design

Faculty of Architecture and Design was detached from Anadolu University to become a part of Eskisehir Technical University, which was established by Law No. 7141 and published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 2018 and numbered as 30525. The faculty consists of Department of Architecture, Department of Interior Design, Department of Industrial Design and Fashion and Textile Design

The purpose of the Faculty of Architecture and Design is to train individuals who are visionaries, adopting universal values, anallytical thinkers, altruists, respectful to environment while designing new and novel products and spaces, sensitives to aesthetics, adopting new computer technologies to design process and have self-confidence and responsibility to their profession. The faculty has competent academic members to sustain a contemporary education life and technical staff and technological infrastructure to provide skills and technical knowledge for the students during their education period.

As an educational object of a practice-based approach, our faculty has computer labs that have well-accepted software applications, ateliers and design studios. Our faculty aims to train individuals who are able to develop professional relationships, engaging interdisciplinary study, supporting creativity with knowledge and current technologies and within the aesthetic understanding. In the education process, theoretical courses, workshops, exhibitions, fashion shows, seminars, conferences, research studies and field trips are considered as a whole in terms of education. In our departments, a large number of research projects supported by TUBITAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey), University’s Scientific Research Fund and various industrial organizations within the cooperation. In the framework of University-Industry Cooperation, the students design projects with the different business companies. Our students are encouraged to participate national/international competitions that are organized by different institutions and organizations. In this respect, a large number of students have won national/international competitions.

Our faculty has an agreement with many universities within the scope of ERASMUS, MEVLANA and FARABI programs and these facilities are used extensively by our students. The departments of the faculty have an optional English Language Preparatory Course for the students who wish to learn a foreign language.
