  • Will be able to distinguish between properties of liquids and solids. Defines intermolecular forces. Identifies properties of liquids and solids. Explains the phase diagrams of pure substances. Identifies the crystal and lattice structures.
  • Will be able to describe solutions and their properties. Explains the dissolution concept and solubility term. Explains the Raoult’s law. Defines the colligative properties. Identifies colloids.
  • Will be able to explain reaction kinetics. Defines reaction rate. Writes a reaction rate expression. Explains the parameters affecting reaction rate. Uses Arrhenius law.
