Learning Outcomes
Develop and analyze mathematical data models, narrowband signal models, and geometric configurations of sensor arrays.
Implement, analyze, and compare classical, subspace-based, and maximum likelihood direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms.
Derive the Cramer–Rao lower bound for parameter estimation in sensor arrays and evaluate the theoretical performance limits of estimation algorithms.
Design, implement, and analyze classical, adaptive, and robust beamforming algorithms for interference suppression and communication systems.
Develop and implement source localization algorithms based on direction-of-arrival (DOA), time-of-arrival (TOA), and time-difference-of-arrival (TDOA) measurements, and analyze their localization accuracy.
