Week - 1 giving information about course outline and explation of assessments,determining the application groups. to devolop and comprehend the basic principles of operation of power diode and transistor, plot the current-voltage characteristics for power diode and transistor
Week - 2 to devolop and comprehend the basic principles of operation of power thyristors, to plot the current-voltage characteristics for power thyristors and transistor
Week - 3 to describe the methods of switching thyristors into and out of conduction
Week - 4 to define trigger angle and conduction angle ( 1 phase and 3 phase) derive expressions of power, current and voltage a resistive load when the thyristor is phase controlled and load models
Week - 5 circuits and understanding of pructical diode and SCR control circuits to describe phase control(for 1 phase 3 phase) to draw wave form diagrams of phase controlled, conduction voltages for diffirent loaded
Week - 6 to construct circuits by using in order to control speed of resistive load and indictive load
