Week - 1 Introduction to textile finishing. Importance of textile finishing.
Week - 2 Classification of finishing methods. Mechanical and chemical textile finishing methods.
Week - 3 Pretreatment of fabrics: desizing, scouring, bleaching, mercerising and washing. Dyeing methods: exhaust and pad dyeing. Dyeing machines.
Week - 4 Classification of textile dyes. Wool dyeing and felt making in the textile lab.
Week - 5 The importance of brush-scissors, carbonization, pre-fixation, washing, bleaching.
Week - 6 Impregnation, exhaustion and dyeing machine.
Week - 7 Coating and laminating of textile materials. Fabric coating in the textile lab.
Week - 8 Classification of coating and backing.
Week - 9 What are the differences between folding and spraying.
Week - 10 EN: Cotton fabric dyeing in jet dyeing machine.
Week - 11 Classification of reactive, direct (substantive), development (naphthol), vat (vat, indanthrene), sulfur, acid, metal complex, disperse dyes.
Week - 12 Classification of fastness and fabrication fastnesses,.
Week - 13 Classification of decatizing, raising, sanding, flame retardancy, antibacterial finish, water, oil and dirt repellency.
Week - 14 Antimicrobial finishing process.
