The primary educational objective of the Earth Sciences program is to cultivate experts capable of understanding the complex interactions among all sub-systems of the planet (geosphere, atmosphere, and hydrosphere) through a holistic approach. The program aims to equip students with a vision that recognizes the insufficiency of monodisciplinary approaches in the face of global and environmental challenges arising from human activities or natural processes, and seeks solutions through multidisciplinary collaboration. In line with this, the fundamental goal is to train a new generation of scientists and experts who can effectively utilize systematic methods across a broad interdisciplinary spectrum, ranging from geology to geophysics, geotechnics to meteorology, and environmental engineering, and generate innovative, scientific solutions to the complex environmental problems of the future.
