Profile of the Programme

The Environmental Engineering Program (Ph.D) pursues its goal of training qualified researchers required in the area of Environmental Engineering. Turkey, in the process of integration with the EU and within its level of economic development, needs to use advanced technologies, and have an awareness of the problems which these technologies may cause. Moreover, together with other countries, <span rgb(51,="" 51,="" 51);="" font-family:="" sans-serif,="" arial,="" verdana,="" 'trebuchet="" ms';="" font-size:="" 13px;="" line-height:="" 20.799999237060547px;="" background-color:="" rgb(255,="" 255,="" 255);"="">Turkey is facing global problems like climate change. To solve these problems, Turkey needs qualified people with a high level of knowledge. The Environmental Engineering Doctoral Program offers an education to meet these demands with the help of the staff of the Environmental Engineering department.

Doktora programına başvurabilmek için adayın lisans veya tezli yüksek lisans diplomasına, en az 3,00/4,00 (75/100) lisans (lisans derecesi ile başvuranlar için) veya tezli yüksek lisans (yüksek lisans derecesi ile başvuranlar için) GNO’suna sahip olması ve belirlenen ALES ve yabancı dil puanlarını almış olması gerekir. Lisans derecesi ile başvuranların ALES’ten başvurduğu programın puan türünde en az 80 puan veya GRE/GMAT sınavlarından Senato tarafından kabul edilen eşdeğer puanı alması, yüksek lisans derecesi ile başvuranların ise ALES’ten başvurduğu programın puan türünde en az 70 puan veya GRE/GMAT sınavlarından Senato tarafından kabul edilen eşdeğer puanı alması gerekir. Adayın Ölçme, Seçme ve Yerleştirme Merkezi (ÖSYM) tarafından düzenlenen yabancı dil sınavlarından veya YÖKDİL sınavından en az 55 puan ya da ÖSYM tarafından eşdeğerliği kabul edilen uluslararası yabancı dil sınavlarından bu puanın eşdeğeri bir puanı almış olması gerekir. Yabancı dilde eğitim yapan birimlere başvuracak öğrenciler için ilgili asgari puan 60’tır.Öğrenci başvuru ve kabulüne ilişkin tüm esaslar için ESKİŞEHİR TEKNİK ÜNİVERSİTESİ LİSANSÜSTÜ EĞİTİM-ÖĞRETİM VE SINAV YÖNETMELİĞİ’ni inceleyiniz.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration. The students who have taken courses in another institution in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. The executive boards of relevant programme will decide on the courses to be transferred covering students' entire academic program once and for all with the condition that the request for transfer be made within the first week of the academic year, the requests cannot be repeated.

Qualification Requirements and Regulations

A student with an MA/MS degree is required to successfully complete a minimum of 7 courses, not less than 52,5 ECTS credits on the other hand student without an MA/MS degree enrolling in the doctorate programs is required to successfully complete a minimum of 14 courses not less than 105 ECTS credits. Both groups of students are required take the required Field Specialization course, pass the qualifying exam, have an accepted dissertation proposal and successfully compete doctorate dissertation work with a minimum of 60 ECTS credits, have a minimum GPA of 3.00/4.00 and no letter grades lower than CC and no YT, DZ grades.
Tezli yüksek lisans derecesine sahip öğrencinin toplam 60 AKTS kredisinden az olmamak koşuluyla en az 7 ders ve seminer dersi, yeterlilik sınavı ve tez önerisi ile 180 AKTS kredisinden az olmamak koşulu ile Uzmanlık Alan Dersi ve Tez çalışmasını başarmış olması gerekmektedir. Lisans derecesi ile kabul edilmiş öğrencinin ise toplam 120 AKTS kredisinden az olmamak koşuluyla en az 14 ders ve seminer dersi, yeterlilik sınavı ve tez önerisi ile 180 AKTS kredisinden az olmamak koşulu ile Uzmanlık Alan Dersi ve Tez çalışmasını başarmış olması gerekmektedir. Bir doktora programına kayıtlı öğrencinin aldığı tüm derslerden en az YT, CC ya da bunun üzerinde not alması ve genel not ortalamasının 4,00 üzerinden en az 3,00 olması gerekmektedir. Ayrıca, Bilimsel Araştırma Teknikleri ile Araştırma ve Yayın Etiği konularını içeren en az bir dersin lisansüstü eğitim sırasında alınması zorunludur. Program süresi tezli yüksek lisans derecesine sahip öğrenciler için 8 yarıyıl olup, azami tamamlama süresi 12 yarıyıldır.
