  • -Students will be able to explain the basic concepts of genomic data analysis and its application areas in molecular biology research. -Students will be able to explain the basic concepts of genomic data analysis and its application areas in molecular biology research. -Students will be able to develop appropriate experimental design, sample planning, and metadata strategies for genomic analyses. -Students will be able to recognize the main file formats used in genomic data analysis and organize data in a structured manner. -Students will be able to evaluate the quality of raw sequencing data and plan the necessary preprocessing steps. -Students will be able to explain genomic read alignment steps and interpret basic alignment metrics. -Students will be able to explain basic variant calling strategies and quality parameters affecting variant reliability. -Students will be able to interpret variant annotation results at a basic level in biological and clinical contexts. -Students will be able to explain RNA-seq data generation and basic gene expression analysis processes. -Students will be able to explain the basic logic of differential gene expression analysis and interpret its main outputs. -Students will be able to biologically interpret gene lists using functional annotation and pathway analysis approaches. -Students will be able to visualize and report genomic analysis results accurately, clearly, and in a biologically interpretable manner. -Students will be able to evaluate the applications of genomic data analysis in biomedical research and clinical practice. -Students will be able to explain ethical, data security, reproducibility, and reporting responsibilities in genomic data analysis.
