Assessment methods and criteria Assessment methods and criteria: i) 2 Midterm Exam, ii) 1 Homework (1 Seminar) and iii) 1 Final Exam. GRADING: MIDTERM EXAM I, Classic, 20%; MIDTERM EXAM II, Classic, 30%; HOMEWORK, Classic 10%, FINAL EXAM, Classic, 40%. Goal: The aim of the course is to enable students to develop an understanding of basic structure, properties, classification, raw materials, production methods, shaping, mechanical, thermal shock and corrosion behaviours, with testing methods of refractory materials, and to evaluate a range of refractory materials for industrial applications.
