Week - 2 The operational principles; Main assembles; Single, twin and triple spools concept; Thrust; SFC; Engine efficiencies; Pressure, temperature and velocity of the gas flow; Thermal, Propulsive and Overall Efficiencies; By-pass ratios; Factors affecting performance of gas turbine engines; Water injection; Afterburner
