Weeks Topics
Week - 1 Giving general informations about the course, Unit 0: "deutsches Alphabet und deutsche Aussprache", German alphabet and pronunciation, dictation exercise, German sentence elements and sentence structure, capitalization rules
Week - 2 Unit 1: Unit "Alles neu", asking and answering about name and surname, greetings, place of residence, origin, address, email address and phone number; conjugating verbs related to these topics and creating dialogues.
Week - 3 Numbers, asking and answering about age, listening exercises, verb conjugation, yes/no questions, W-Questions and statement sentences
Week - 4 Unit 2: Unit "von früh bis spät", describing professions, using articles to indicate gender, temporal and local prepositions
Week - 5 Unit 2: Forming questions and statements with time and place expressions, telling the time, separable verbs and inseparable verbs
Week - 6 Talking about daily routines, reflexive verbs, regular and irregular verbs, verb conjugation
Week - 7 Unit 3: "Immer was los", talking about family and relationships, possessive pronouns, forming genitive constructions with -s and von, singular and plural forms of articles / determiners, talking about marital status
Week - 8 Midterm exam
Week - 9 Unit 4: "Sonst noch etwas?", food and beverages, definite, indefinite, negative and zero articles, Verbs with nominative and accusative objects, declension of articles and personal pronouns in the nominative and accusative cases
Week - 10 Forming questions and statements with verbs in the nominative and accusative, dialogues in restaurants and shops, forming negatives
Week - 11 Verbs taking the dative case, dative declension of articles and personal pronouns, two-way prepositions (accusative or dative)
Week - 12 Unit 5: "Suchen und finden", describing physical appearance, places in the city, getting around the city
Week - 13 Imperative forms, asking for directions and giving directions (phrases for giving directions)
Week - 14 Ask for and give directions, modal verbs "können", indefinite pronoun “man”
