Week - 1 Fundamental concepts and historical evolution of safety management are explored.
Week - 2 Hazard identification methods and risk assessment processes in aviation are examined.
Week - 3 Basic principles of safety management and system thinking approaches are discussed.
Week - 4 Components of safety culture and the concept of "Just Culture" are analyzed.
Week - 5 Safety performance management is explained through indicators (SPIs) and targets (SPTs).
Week - 6 Systematic safety data collection and reporting systems are taught.
Week - 7 Methods for analyzing collected safety data and trend monitoring are demonstrated.
Week - 8 Human factors in aviation safety, cognitive systems and the role of human performance in error management are analyzed.
Week - 9 The State Safety Programme (SSP) framework and state responsibilities are explained.
Week - 10 Safety policy, objectives, and commitments—the first pillar of SMS—are covered.
Week - 11 Safety risk management process and acceptable level of safety (ALoS) are evaluated
Week - 12 Safety assurance involving monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement is addressed.
Week - 13 Safety promotion, training, and effective communication strategies are examined.
Week - 14 Current challenges in SMS implementation and future safety approaches are summarized.
