Week - 1	Theory: Short film concept, course objectives and learning outcomes; determining theme and main idea. Practice: Discussion on theme and main idea, analysis of sample short films.
Week - 2	Theory: Narrative theories and forms of construction. Practice: Developing stories from theme and main idea, writing loglines.
Week - 3	Theory: Dramatic structure and conflict elements. Practice: Exercises on identifying conflict and climax.
Week - 4	Theory: Narration concept and narrator in film; types of narrators in short film. Practice: Choosing appropriate narrator for the story and sample applications.
Week - 5	Theory: Character creation and dramatic function; character development. Practice: Designing characters and integrating them into the story.
Week - 6	Theory: Developing subject based on theme and main idea; transition from logline to story. Practice: Writing original short film stories; transforming subject into narrative through plot structure.
Week - 7	Theory: Writing a synopsis. Practice: Preparing synopsis for short film story.
Week - 8	Theory: Writing a treatment; detailing dramatic progression of the story. Practice: Developing treatment based on synopsis.
Week - 9	Theory: Screenplay sections: scene, shot, sequence. Practice: Drafting screenplay.
Week - 10	Theory: Concept of storyboard, contribution of visual narrative to the story; role of scene arrangement, camera angles and shot types in storyboard. Practice: Preparing storyboard for students’ own stories.
Week - 11	Theory: Rhythm and continuity in short film; strengthening narrative within limited space and time conditions; using AI tools for reviewing, supporting, and improving story and script designs. Practice: AI-supported revision of previous works (story, synopsis, treatment, storyboard).
Week - 12	Theory: Sound design and use of music; contribution of aural atmosphere to the story. Practice: Creating appropriate aural atmosphere with AI-supported sound and music suggestions.
Week - 13	Theory: Planning the short film shooting process; contribution of scene arrangement, camera angles and shot types to narrative. Practice: Short film shooting practice.
Week - 14	Theory: Post-shooting image and sound editing; music selection and continuity principles. Practice: Editing the filmed short project; integration of image, sound and music.
