Graduate School of Sciences | Rail Transport Engineering Master with Thesis

Rail Systems Engineering Degree level education in Turkey is only available in Karabük University. However, since rail systems are a multidisciplinary field of science, qualified specialists can only be trained by graduates of basic engineering courses. Therefore, training in rail systems should be at postgraduate level. The proposed graduate program will provide the opportunity for students who graduate from various undergraduate programs to develop themselves and have a master's degree. Taking advantage of the potential of students from different disciplines, multi-disciplinary studies are envisaged in various branches of the Rail Systems discipline and especially in field studies.

Turkey in the field of transportation and rail systems have been many improvements in recent years. Despite these developments, it is seen that the number of qualified personnel and experts is low in these areas. The main purpose of the proposed graduate program is to train the experts needed by the rail systems sector and to contribute to the professional and academic development of the qualified personnel currently working in the sector. In this context, Eskişehir Technical University is one of the best universities to realize these goals with its technical infrastructure and institutional experience, as well as its academic staff trained in the subject of Railway Systems and Urban Livability.

Rail systems, both in the world has a growing importance in the academic field in Turkey and should be studied from a scientific point of graduate programs at the level of development in this area. Although there are many examples of different academic modules and abroad, it should not have shown interest in this field in Turkey. Therefore, Eskişehir Technical University aims to fill a serious academic / scientific gap.
