Profile of the Programme

The maintenance and application of equipments of audio and video production and editing in radio and television studios and broadcast centers are thought. The workshops are provided by TV Production Center Studios located in campus. The latest technology is applied in studios for educational purposes. Our students have an opportunity to practise their theorical knowledge and to be integrated to business life by getting training in important enterprises about Radio and Television industry (TRT and Private radio Television production and broadcasting centers) . The graduates get Radio & TV Technician title.

Recognition of Prior Learning

Depending on the degrees awarded, theoretical or practical courses taken as part of a degree (completed or not completed) may lead to recognition of these as prior learning by the programme administration. The students who have taken courses in another institution in Turkey or abroad can ask for credit and grade transfer. The executive boards of relevant programme will decide on the courses to be transferred covering students' entire academic program once and for all with the condition that the request for transfer be made within the first week of the academic year, the requests cannot be repeated.

Access to Further Studies

May apply to bachelor's programmes in related fields of study provided that the student obtains sufficient score in the Vertical Transfer Examination administired by the Student Selection Centre or may apply to bachelor's degree completion programmes in related fields of study in Distance Education System.

Graduation Requirements

A student is required to successfully complete the designated program of courses meet a minimum of 120 ECTS credit requirement and have a minimum GPA of 2.00/4.00 and no FF, DZ or YZ grades.
Student graduates as he/she fullfils the compulsory internship which is 30 days long and successfully completes 120 ECTS / ECTS credits course.

Occupational Profiles of Graduates

Graduates of the Radio Television Program, in accordance with the qualificatiıns gained, are employed in radyo television production and broadcasting sectors.

Examination Regulations, Assessment and Grading

A variety of assessment methods such as mid-term(s), assignment(s), exercise(s), project(s), practice(s), and a final exam are implemented in the programme. Assessment methods may include classical test(s), multiple-choice test(s), homework(s), performance evaluation(s), and product evaluation(s). In order to graduate from the programme, cumulative GPA must be minimum 2.00. A course grade is constituted by evaluating the above stated elements and given by using letters. Letter grades and their associated coefficients are as follows;
The success of students are evaluated with various assessments during semester and by final exam. Semester assesments are determined by the instructor. Assesments are usually two midterm and a final exams but may also include quizzes, homeworks, laboratory assigments, projects and presentations. Grades are determined by allocating exams and assignments contributions which shares of all are determined by instructor and announced at the very beginning of semester. All exams are writen drills.Attendance to lectures are mandatory and a strudent must attend lectures at least for 70%. Students whom attendance is less than 70% fail, get a grade of DZ and are not allowed to take the final exam of the failed course.Exams for the courses are based on the Students will be asked exam questions that of course depends on the skills and learning outcomes.Success of students are evaluated with numerical and corresponding letter grades. It is up to instructor to decide corresponding letter grades for numerical ones.
