Weeks Topics
Week - 1 To introduce the basics of conventional and modern manufacturing methods. To transfer the technical knowledge that can make the most suitable method for manufacturing to the students. The basic concepts related to machining and non-machining methods of machining are determined and the most suitable manufacturing method is selected.
Week - 2 Types of CNC workbenches, building components. Current control panels and functions for CNC lathe and milling machines. Motion transmission and skid mechanisms. Team magazines.
Week - 3 Learn the general structure and important parts of CNC lathes. Basic concepts related to turning (turning tool, cutting geometry, chip formation, heating, wear, etc.). Calculates turning-related chip removal (cutting speed, number of revolutions, cutting rate, machine production time, etc.). It explains common functions (such as hole drilling, reaming, pulling, sub programming, etc.) used in all brands on CNC lathe machines.
Week - 4 Cutting tool materials used in lathes and their properties. Choice of cutting tool material and geometric form suitable for workpiece material and geometry to be machined. Determination of the ideal cutting parameters (cutting speed, number of revolutions, feed rate, cutting depth). Terms used in machining. Constant cutting speed and precaution. Safety precautions that must be taken when working with workpieces in relation to the workbench. Cooling of the cutting medium and prevention.
Week - 5 In general, and coordinate systems of CNC lathes and (ISO) coding systems (G; M) systems. Pre-programming of CNC lathe machines and general programming of all CNC lathe machines with common codes. In the programming of CNC lathe machines, the starting main production forms the end sections.
Week - 6 Coding Systems of CNC Machine Tools. Basic and auxiliary working axes (X, Z, C); Reference points (machine and work reference points); Methods of specifying coordinates and sample applications are performed. Cylindrical, forehead, conical, channel, screw, curve turning on CNC lathe; Drilling, reaming, tapping, etc. Cycle the general functions of CYCLE codes and program on CNC lathe.
Week - 7 Learn the general structure and important parts of CNC milling machines. It explains the basic concepts of milling (milling tools, dimensions, selection, chip formation, warming, wear). It makes chip removal calculations related to milling.
Week - 8 CNC milling machine working axes and reference points. ISO standard codes used in programming for CNC milling benches. General Programming with Common Codes in CNC Milling Machines. Makes pre-programming preparations on CNC milling machines. In the programming of CNC milling machines, it forms the starting, main production, ending parts and chooses the necessary codes.
Week - 9 CNC milling machines, common functions used in all brands (hole drilling, reamer pulling, tapping, pocket milling, sub programs, etc.) open.
Week - 10 Tool path identification for simple operations such as drilling and drilling, and writing of machining codes. Cooling of the cutting medium and prevention.
Week - 11 Finger milling and insert end milling tools, suitable for machining operation, cutting toolpaths and programming techniques. The same and opposite milling locations and their importance. In the circumferential (profile) milling, the cutting line orientation of the cutting line for the machining line, and the programming techniques.
Week - 12 Drilling, threading with guide, drilling, drilling, etc. Cycles and parameters used for operations. Writing NC codes for incremental cutting machining passes.
Week - 13 CNC Milling machine is programmed. Describes general features of CAD / CAM programming. Tool selection with NC codes. Spindle direction of rotation and speed commands. The design of cutting tools and suitable surface milling tool paths used in surface milling. NC code writing for designed toolpaths. Writing NC codes for pocket milling. Cutter tool diameter compensation and precaution. Sub program to write logic and sample applications.
Week - 14 Work safety on CNC lathe and milling machines. Examples of industrial applications.
