Week - 1 Explanation of course objectives and learning outcomes. Definition of classroom environment and workshop safety and health rules. Definition of area use and tools. Information about workflows.
Week - 2 Principles of creating low-resolution physical models. Creating simple idea presentation models using basic techniques using paper materials.
Week - 3 Cutting, gluing, and folding methods. Creating volumetric forms with paper and cardboard. Application of a volumetric product model.
Week - 4 Study of structural models and skeletal systems. Creating structures using materials such as wood, lath, wire, and plastic rods. Application of a structural product model.
Week - 5 Introduction to polystyrene (styrofoam/foam) material. Polystyrene processing methods. Production of solid models with basic geometry using styrofoam.
Week - 6 Scaling in model making. Examining the techniques of producing scaled models.
Week - 7 Intermediate Model Application with Mixed Material
Week - 8 Principles of creating high-resolution physical models. Introduction to wood materials. Wood processing (drilling, cutting, joining, etc.) methods.
Week - 9 Creating functional models and moving mechanisms. Studies on simple mechanical systems (pins, hinges, elastic joints, etc.). Creating user-interactive models.
Week - 10 Use of sheet materials. Shaping of thin or sheet materials with laser cutting techniques. Techniques for creating volume through layering. Filling applications.
Week - 11 Surface treatments and painting. Surface preparation before painting. Priming and coating techniques. Coloring and painting applications.
Week - 12 Modeling clay. Creating organic surfaces.
Week - 13 Mold making and shaping. Negative mold making and basic casting techniques.
Week - 14 Label preparation. Methods for creating realistic details on models. Reinforcement applications.
