Narrative techniques in story: First-person, third-person, and omniscient perspectives; the impact of narrator choice on the story; the author’s use of language, rhythm, tone, and style; differences between visual and written narration.
Application: Sample exercises exploring how the same event can be treated with different themes by various authors, and identifying the differences that emerge when transforming the narrative into a novel or a screenplay. |
