3 They possess a high level of proficiency in the methods and skills necessary to access and comprehend the latest information in a given field and conduct research accordingly.
4 It involves comprehensive research that brings innovation to science and technology, develops a new scientific method or technological product/process, or applies a known method to a new field.
5 It identifies and applies fundamental sciences, mathematics, and engineering sciences at an advanced level.
6 They acquire extensive and in-depth knowledge, including the latest developments in their field.
7 Independently perceives, designs, implements, and concludes an original research process; and manages this process.
8 By publishing the results of their academic work in reputable academic environments, they contribute to the literature of science and technology.
