Profile of the Programme

The Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems Ph.D. Program is an interdisciplinary graduate program that aims to provide students with advanced knowledge and research competence in remote sensing, geographic information systems, spatial data production, spatial analysis, modeling, data management, and scientific research processes.

The program aims to train researchers who can discuss theoretical concepts and principles in the field of remote sensing and geographic information systems at an advanced level, conduct scientific research processes independently, and carry out original studies by synthesizing data, methods, and applications from different disciplines.

Graduates of the program can develop solutions to environmental, urban, and social problems within the context of spatial analysis; take part in research and technology development projects based on remote sensing and geographic information systems; present their scientific studies in written, oral, and visual forms; and contribute to interdisciplinary studies in higher education, research institutions, public institutions, or the private sector.
