This course is offered in person only. Unless otherwise stated, classes will be conducted as follows:1- Students are expected to come prepared by completing the provided readings, videos, or homework assignments to prepare for the course.2- The course begins with a summary of the previous week. If necessary, the instructor will conduct a short drawing demonstration of the previous week.3- The instructor will conduct a drawing demonstration of the relevant week and allow students time to create similar drawings.4- While students are drawing, the instructor will walk around the classroom and provide one-on-one support.5- The weekly assignment is announced.6- The course concludes with an announcement of the next week's topic.Questions and problems are discussed regularly during class. |

Assessment methods and criteria |
Class attendance is mandatory. Attendance will be assessed at the beginning of each class. Attendance and interest grades are assessed for arriving at class on time, bringing necessary materials, and being active during class. Responsibility grades are assessed for completing and submitting assignments and practical exercises on time, and for communicating any special circumstances with the instructor on time or in advance. All assignments are due within one week of the assigned date, unless otherwise specified in the course schedule or by the instructor. Late work will not be accepted unless agreed upon with the instructor in advance, and a grade of "Zero (0)" will be assigned.The course is a hands-on course. Students will be evaluated based on the drawings they create during class. Grading percentages may vary by semester.Midterm Exam 40%Final Exam 60% |
