Week - 1 Color theory, color psychology, the relationship between space and color, and an introduction to gouache techniques
Week - 2 Basic design principles: contrast. Methods of generating new forms: geometrization
Week - 3 Basic design principles: harmony. Two-dimensional composition using gouache and colored pencil techniques
Week - 4 Basic design principles: repetition, introduction to watercolor techniques
Week - 5 Basic design principles: symmetry. Two-dimensional composition studies using watercolor and colored pencil techniques
Week - 6 Basic design principles: hierarchy. Introduction to marker techniques
Week - 7 Rhythm, visual movement, and composition
Week - 8 Surface tensions and formal transformation: applications based on bending, stretching, subtraction, cutting, and folding etc.
Week - 9 Structure and module: production of three-dimensional units and modular organization
Week - 10 Structure, surface, volume, and space: three-dimensional applications
Week - 11 Three-dimensional applications: balance, structural stability, void-solid relationship
Week - 12 Final Project: Transition from surface to space- texture and surface studies, abstraction, stylization
