Week - 1 Introduction to Automatic Control: System, control and automatic control; Types of variables (input-output, control and disturbance variables)
Week - 2 Control loop and its components; Open-loop and closed-loop control, advantages and disadvantages of open-loop and closed-loop
Week - 3 Reference signal types: (unit) impulse, step and ramp functions; Control system responses: Transient response, steady-stae response and steady-state error.
Week - 4 Laplace Transform - examples of problem solving.
Week - 5 Inverse Laplace Transform and partial fraction expansion nethod - examples of problem solving.
Week - 6 Inverse Laplace Transform and partial fraction expansion nethod - examples of problem solving.
Week - 7 Mahtematical Modelling of Dynamic Systems: Mechanical and electrical systems; Transfer function.
Week - 8 Transfer Function and Block Diagrams
Week - 9 Block Diagram Representation: Serial, parallel and feedback connections; Reduction of block diagrams.
Week - 10 First and second-order systems; Transient response specifications of closed-loop systems.
Week - 11 Types of controllers: P, I, D and PID controllers.
