Week - 1 Ethics in Science : The concept of ethics, ethical rules related to scientific research and publications.
Week - 2 General information about the types of publications (such as periodical, indefinite, current, scientific and academic) and scientific citation indexes (SCI, SCIE, SSCI, AHCI).
Week - 3 Library Use: Introducing the library physically and literally.
Week - 4 Teaching to use chemical drawing program (ChemOffice).
Week - 5 Introduction and teaching the use of Chemical Abstract Service (CAS) and SciFinder programs.
Week - 6 Searhing by using the SciFinder program, searching the item structure and topic.
Week - 7 Searching through the SciFinder program to access patents, journals and publications.
Week - 8 Use internet search engines (such as Web of Science, Scopus, ScienceDirect, Google Scholar, etc.) and access books, magazines, patents and publications through them.
Week - 9 Searching by using web pages of publishers and access books and magazines through them.
Week - 10 Searhing thesis and data with YÖK Documentation and ULAKBİM systems.
Week - 11 General information on types of scientific reporting (articles, written and oral presentations) and plagiarism prevention programs (iThenticate and Turnitin).
Week - 12 General information about scientific reporting (Abstract, Introduction, Results-Discussion and Conclusion).
Week - 13 Teaching the referencing in reports.
Week - 14 Teaching the referencing by EndNote program.
