Week - 3 Typical Carbon Compounds: Functional groups, Intermolecular forces
Week - 4 Types of organic reaction mechanism ; Introduction to organic reactions: Acids and bases
Week - 5 Alkanes: Systematic nomenclature of aliphatic hydrocarbons, Isomerism, Conformational analysis.
Week - 6 Alkanes: Reactions, Synthesis, Tests.
Week - 7 Cycloalkanes: Ring tension and instability, Physical and chemical properties
Week - 8 Cycloalkanes: Reactions, Synthesis, Tests.
Week - 9 Stereochemistry: Chirality, Enantiomers and their properties, Optical activity
Week - 10 Stereochemistry: Molecules with more than one stereocenter, Fischer projection formulas, Stereochemistry in chemical reactions, Separation of enantiomers
