Weeks Topics
Week - 1 Giving general information about sportive swimming pools.
Week - 2 Giving general information about both World and Turkish swimming and local area swimming schedules. And practising to get use to water.
Week - 3 Teaching the basic education steps of swimming and practice.
Week - 4 Phase of getting use to water . Explaining to the student why we need respiration and eye-opening practises. Starting with small drills about respiration and eye opening in the water.
Week - 5 Giving extensive information about staying on the water surface and moving in the water topics. Explaining and practising the technical education steps in the worldwide.
Week - 6 Starting the phase of moving in the water and theoretical analysis of freestyle swimming technics. Watching the videos about Turkish and foreigner swimmers and starting the breath, arm and foot/leg coordination drills in the pool. General overview to the backstroke swimming technics.
Week - 7 Theoretical analysis of backstroke swimming technics. Harmony of the backstroke swimming technics to the pool environment. Watching the videos via VCD and making practice in the pool for teaching purposes. Making records with camera and analyzing the records.
Week - 8 Theoretical analysis of breaststroke swimming technics. Making records with camera of students and comparing the student’s records with swimmers at the educational videos records. Examining the technique at the point of biomechanics view.
Week - 9 MID-TERM EXAM, Theoretical analysis of breaststroke swimming technics. Making records with camera of students and comparing the student’s records with swimmers at the educational videos records. Examining the technique at the point of biomechanics view.
Week - 10 Theoretical analysis of fly swimming technics. Making records with camera of students and comparing the student’s records with swimmers at the educational videos records. Examining the technique at the point of biomechanics view.
Week - 11 Turns related to four technics. Examining and analyzing the starts.
Week - 12 Swimming competition and Referee rules and disqualifications in technics.
Week - 13 Swimming biomechanics and relations between water resistance and technics for swimming trainers.
Week - 14 Lifeguard theoretical information and practising.
